In August 2026, HOFCD partnered with three colleges in Mailsi to host our largest premarital screening camp to date. Over 500 students and young adults received free CBC and carrier-screening tests, alongside counselling on what a positive carrier result means for future family planning. Early data suggests this single event could prevent several future Thalassemia Major cases in the district.

Thanks to a dedicated fundraising push, our Mailsi treatment centre expanded from 12 to 20 transfusion beds in June 2026. This upgrade has cut average patient wait times by nearly 40%, allowing us to serve more children each day without compromising on care quality.

Our March 2026 fundraising dinner in Vehari city brought together over 200 guests including doctors, philanthropists and community leaders. The event raised Rs. 2.1 million, which has been allocated directly to our iron-chelation medicine fund for the coming year.

Starting January 2026, our mobile health team now visits five villages surrounding Mailsi on a rotating monthly schedule, offering diagnostic tests and doctor consultations to families who previously had to travel long distances for basic screening.

Our iron-chelation medicine fund crossed a major milestone in November 2025, now supporting 300 children every month with subsidised medication — a direct result of our growing base of recurring monthly donors.

September 2025 marked the graduation of our first formal volunteer training cohort — 50 community members trained in patient support, awareness communication and event logistics, significantly boosting our field capacity.
